This is the second time in a couple of months that the call centre has made a mistake with my appointment booking (the first was to book me in with an Optometrist when I asked to book with the contact lense consultant). This time (even though I spelt out my surname) the person in the call centre spelt it incorrectly and listed me as a new customer even though I told them i'd been going there for years (28 years in fact!). It meant my documents werent ready (NHS forms not completed before I arrived etc) when I arrived and I was treated as a new customer at first until the problem was resolved and my notes found. It makes Boots look unprofessional and made my appointment take longer than necessary. I wont be booking an appointment with the call centre again but will go directly to the branch instead as the call centre simply doesn't understand their own branches enough to get things correct.
