Share review of Boots Opticians Sheffield - Queens Road
Optometrist was good, explained everything clearly. However although the sales assistant(I think that was her role) was friendly, I found her approach quite hard sell. Using an analogy of cars to support her sales pitch, she proceeded to scale the lenses from Skoda to Aston Martin. I don't own a Skoda but one had been top of my last list when I purchased my current car. I would imagine an owner of a Skoda would have been insulted. I wasn't given a range of prices to choose from nor was I given a break down of prices of lenses as we went along. Eventually I was given a price of £392 for one pair of glasses which from the outset I had indicated I would use only for driving. I paid for these then next day cancelled after some consideration. I feel that a more vulnerable customer would have been persuaded into paying for and receiving glasses that they didn't need or could really afford. I then used my prescription to shop around and eventually bought two for the price of one for £119 from a competitor. I am disappointed as the service we have received in the past for my daughters glasses has been exemplary.
