Boots Opticians Piccadilly

The service was outstanding from start to finish. I was triaged very well, then saw the optometrist who has a slight concerned who refereed me to Moorfields: i went there and had full tests and given the all clear: I went back to the Opticians at Piccadilly who gave me a full eye test and prescription. I then saw a lady who helped me pick the frames and processed my order: she was very proficient and very genial.
The whole process was a real pleasure. It was the first time in my life I had been to an Opticians and the experience could not have been better. Thanks to all concerned!
Extremely thorough and all my questions were answered.
They even accessed my records from a previous examination at a different Boots branch to double check.
Most impressive.
All of the 3 members of staff I spoke with were amazing. Very kind , friendly and helpful. I wouldn't go anywhere else again.
Ensure your staff have the ability to log into the computer to access my record - the person I saw (Ron?) was unable to log in therefore he had no knowledge of my existing situation etc and had to do the check completely blind.
If an appointment is scheduled for 8am, it should start at 8am, not 8.10am after the store has finally opened and the optometrist has finally set up. Appointments should be offered from when you are ready to see customers. If that's not until 8.15am because you have to log into the computer, access records etc that's fine but it was a waste of my time being there on time.
My date of birth was printed incorrectly on the paper record where Ron was taking his notes. It was only because I happened to notice and tell him the correct DOB. Because he was unable to log into the computer he wasn't able to cross check it.
A better standard of hygiene should be observed - I watched Ron take a disinfectant wipe from a sterile pack, rip it in half, put one half back in the packet (potentially contaminating the other wipes in the pack) and then use the other half to wipe the bench where he'd be working. At no point was the chin rest or head rest wiped which I would have assumed was why there are disinfectant wipes in the first place.
I was extremely disappointed with my experience in their branch - it was disorganised and unprofessional.
No . My experience was very good. I am happy.
