The person who conducted the routine tests at the beginning was OK but spoke fast and did not explain what the various tests were for. It would be worth training people up to do this, as it sets the tone for the rest of the visit. After that things got better: the optometrist was very professional and helpful. Then Jacob helped me to choose frames for my prescription sunglasses. He had a sense of humour and a relaxed and patient way of going about things and took a lot of trouble helping me to choose the frames that suited me best and would be suitable for the lenses. All in all, a good visit and I have every hope that the sunglasses will be a good purchase.

I used Boots for the first time on the recommendation of my daughter having previously used Tesco,I was amazed at the difference.The venue and equipment were first class,the staff polite and helpful and the eye test very thougher. Dreading the bottom line I was more than pleased with the choice and the price,you have gained a very satisfied customer.

Juber Ahmed was awesome. He made available plenty of time to discuss not only current issues but also to explain the reason for past events. Patient, helpful, mild mannered and polite. He clearly is very knowledgeable, and explained every detail in a way that was easy to understand. All my complex issues, (cataracts, retina problems, stoke related symptoms) were all dealt with in very confident professional manner. I now have a plan for the next 12 months , new glasses and confidence that all my problems have been addressed and explained.

The area for the Opticians at the Commercial Road branch in Portsmouth is too cramped. Staff could have explained a little more clearly the purpose of each piece of equipment.
