My appointment was 15 minutes late. I was about to walk out !! Staff ( employees that seem either too young to maintain professionalism or receive poor training ) should acknowledge & make apologies for this rather than try to avoid the issue & eye contact. From then on the service was very good if not perfect.

A very pleasant experience from start to finish, first of all with Jane who took me through the initial tests, Muj, the optometrist, who was extremely thorough and explained clearly the implications of what he found in my eye test, and then Elizabeth who was just brilliant at getting me fitted up for new glasses. I've been going to Boots Opticians for some years now and my experience yesterday is the reason I stick with them - it's always excellent, caring service and a great deal financially with my Contact Lens Reward Scheme.

I was initially greeted in store by a lovely gentleman a manager I think he was wearing a stripy shirt his name was Ben, very welcoming, he introduced me to Liz who did my first tests and she was just fab :) she explained everything we were doing and discussed what I like to do during the day explaining that it's so they can tell me the best things I need. The checks she did were not as daunting as usual and she has a very calming nature. She then took me straight into my optometrist and there was very little delay. My eye check was very thorough and sameen went through lots of different things with me explaining the health of my eyes and even looking into my concerns about my eyes being very dry. I haven't chosen my glasses yet but I will be returning as the service was fantastic all in all a great experience and I will be telling my friends

Jane did my initial tests was very friendly and calming, she explained each aspect of the test so I knew what was happening. Daljit was my optometrist and very lovely discussed everything with me including the option of contact lenses which had never been offered to me before, I have booked an appointment for this. Steve helped me choose frames to fit and Claire was so lovely dispensing them, she explained all my options and made sure I knew what I was paying big for, even discussed the glasses cover which was a great option for me and I took her up on that! All in all a pleasant and quick visit
