I ought to title this "Boots Opticians - great people who are massively compromised by the systems they have to put up with" I am reviewing this store as a patient who had their appointment cancelled due to the ill health of the optometrist. That's not the issue I have as these things happen and I was informed in good time. I called the store approx 10 times today to try and order some contact lenses (as I planned to order them at my appointment that was cancelled) but no one picked up the phone. All day. I called another store who did pick up but they couldn't help me as they don't have access to my records (I forgot it was still 1983). When I finally got through to the store I was told you now don't take payments for top up lenses over the phone (?) and you can't post them to me, I have to come in (!) Dear god give me strength At this point may I stress that the customer service was, as ever, pretty flawless. But Boots, please, please, please invest in your systems so that your poor staff have a chance to give great care as I can tell they are keen to do..... Specifically: - make sure calls get answered, or better still, let me order my top up lenses online - ensure that all branches can see my records so that anyone can help me spend more money with you!!! - Please take my money over the phone - Please post my top up lenses to me - you post my normal monthly ones to me, I can't see why that's different I love you Boots, but you are making it very very hard for me to stay with you :(
