I would NOT recommend Boots at castle boulevard. I was examined by a trainee (pre reg) not a qualified optometrist. It was only when going into the consulting room and noticing the words 'pre reg' on the door i asked what this meant and was told by the person undertaking my examination he was not yet fully qualified. By this time i was already in the chair and the examinstion had started. There was no double check carried out by a qualified optometrist of the results of my examination and I left feeling very disappointed in my experience. There was no manager on site to talk to and I left my feedback with a 'senior'. At no time prior to my examination was i told i would not be seen by a qualified optometrist, despite a number of staff being available on reception I will not be going back there again.

One consulting room was having difficulties with the equipment and this was clearly frustrating the staff. We had to move to another suite and it was clear this was not a recent fault but had been happening for some time.
