My appointment was very thorough and I felt like Boots really cre about my eye health.
I had a great experience. Everyone was friendly and very helpful. I have mental health issues and find having my eyes tested quite stressful but this appointment was the first time I felt at ease.
The whole experience was fantastic as it always is. Polite considerate and extremely helpful members of staff. Always a good choice of frames etc
The appointment as a contact lens appointment. I usually see Steve but he was not available so I saw another gentleman and at the time of the telephone appointment was given his name, Nick, which I always find helpful as you know who you are going to see.
The appointment was on time, Nick was courteous, efficient and knowledgable. Having had a stroke 18 months ago, I had some concerns over an aneurysm at the back of one eye - his examination was highly thorough and very reassuring. All I needed was provided. An appointment is not required for another year but he said should `I have any concerns to call without hesitation. This was very reassuring and I appreciated it. I have always found the Contact Lens team, esp Steve and Nick to be very pleasant and thorough and ensuring the customers' personal needs are met. Thank you.
This was a third return visit to try and fix problems arising from the initial incorrect diagnosis and eye tests.
This is the second time this has happened with Boots, having supplied the wrong prescription on my previous glasses.
On this occasion it turns out that my left eye prescription was wrong - yet again - and Boots are now having to order new left-eye lenses.
Adding insult to injury I am told they cannot supply the previously supplied special coatings and then, four hours later, I am called at home with yet another problem relating to the frames.
Al-in-all it is and was a bit of a shambles and the entire process is very drawn out and time consuming, likely due to the fact that all the staff seem to be juniors and every decision has to be double checked with someone of supposedly greater competence.
Not at all what you might expect from a supposedly professional organisation charging hundreds of pounds for a wrong diagnosis.
