Boots Opticians Norwich - Castle Street

Good eye test. Excellent service when choosing my glasses but poor customer service after that. Appointment made to collect my glasses but after taking time off work to collect them, on arrival my glasses were not ready but no-one had called to tell me, despite having two phone numbers for me. Three days on from that and I’ve still not had a call to tell me when my glasses might be ready for collection, despite already having paid £500 in full for them nearly three weeks ago. Not sure I’ll be buying glasses from here again!

What good service - During my visit to the store I was shown a wide range of options of lenses and frames - though I would say the displayed prices for Varifocal lens options was miss leading - The eye test and consultation with the Optometrist was very thorough. My chosen spectacles were ready for collection in under 7 days and the whole process was very good - the price was keen as well. I would not hesitate to recommend Boots Opticians Castle Mall Norwich to anyone.

Pritesh, the optometrist is always very helpful ,informative and individualistic is his care. Listens to your needs and carries out review accordingly to a high standard. Staff at Boots always helpful and receptive; Rich, on hand on my recent visit to sort out changes in my lenses etc and be warm, friendly but professional.

Both the initial screening and the eye test were very thorough and performed by friendly, knowledgeable staff. I had to pop into the branch to book though as the website listed the nearest locations to Norwich as Gt Yarmouth and Thetford, despite there being 3 locations in Norwich city centre!

My Optician was friendly and professional and so was the lady measuring my glasses. The optician took time to sort out the transfer of my records to this branch

I was extremely impressed by a particular member of staff who helped me today, Rich. I usually dread choosing new frames, and Rich was very skilful in listening to what I wanted, and gently stepping me towards frames which I absolutely love and would have struggled to choose myself. He obviously knew the stock thoroughly, and was great at picking out a good selection. This was the best frame choosing visit to an optician that I have ever had, Thankyou Rich. The frames have had the seal of approval from the family so I’ll be back in as soon as I can to get them ordered.

I have felt rushed with previous places, and when I said I felt I needed James to tell me things slowly he was very understanding. I felt relaxed and that he have me plenty of time to discuss my concerns, which as it was the first time here was useful.very pleased
