Not a lot was good about my experience. The Optometrist was very good but other staff were less than helpful. I have since returned to this Boots Opticians store several times with problems with glasses and my vision with glasses and fit. Boots staff have broken two pairs of my glasses and although they have arranged to replace them I have been inconvenienced, made to feel I was the problem, encountered extremely unhelpful and rude staff. I have on several occasions told the staff I was unhappy with them not solving problems and fit of glasses but they have been happy for me to leave the store with poorly fitting glasses and unhappy. This is not the service I have received from various Boots Opticians stores over more than 25 years and it is the first time I have experienced unsatisfactory service at this store. I did speak to the Manager and over the telephone I was accused of being provided with 6 goodwill gesture orders and told that I am obviously a difficult customer to fit. I did point out to her that 4 of these orders were for the same incident where Boots staff broke two pair of glasses, another order was to replace an order where the item originally ordered was then discontinued - this accounted for 4 orders. The other orders were from previous years. I have since returned to the store, seen the Manager, received new glasses which I have now had fitted perfectly at another Boots Opticians store. I have been a customer at this Boots Opticians store for over 20 years but will now be reluctant to return after receiving very poor service recently. Such a shame as I have previously been very happy with excellent service and never left the store feeling unhappy and upset before recently.

My appointment was on time and I was dealt with in a friendly and helpful manner throughout. My questions during the consultation were answered really well and I left feeling that my eyes had been thoroughly checked.

The only thing that I had a problem with was I initially booked the appointment online and it didn't work but it was easily sorted and an alternative appointment was made for the following week, my experience was good in store apart from being kept waiting for nearly 10 minutes after my appointment time even though it was early on in the day

pre screen was good, very friendly and bubbly young lady, had a bit of a wait for actual eye test although this was very through and explained to me when i asked questions. End bit choosing glasses and new lens was hit and miss, done by a trainee who had to keep on asking how to put things through the computer. I would also like to add that i am diabetic and my eye test was 6 months overdue, i only got an appointment by going into branch, the Manager did not seem to care about this issue. I am also an employee of Boots and dont think this is acceptable - especially for getting repeat business !!
