1. There is only one member of staff at this opticians with whom I was disatisfied. The locum optometrist gave me the wrong phone number for me to arrange the urgent hospital assessment I needed. The form she gave me was for part of West Cheshire, but not my area, Hartford in Northwich. In general, her approach was dismissive/a little rushed/lacking in care, and unclear. 2. The Dispensing Optician for my glasses, Emma Pilkington-Pugh, was outstandingly good. She listened to what I wanted to achieve to improve my varifocals. We worked methodically through all the options during two consultations, and she then ordered my glasses, which are due next week. Emma has excellent interpersonal skills, and clearly enjoys working with customers to solve the problems we are experiencing with our glasses. She is very considerate, pleasant and friendly. 3. Her colleague Lisa showed me appropriate frames to minimise the distortion I will see through my Platinum Plus varifocal lenses. The first frame she showed me, both my wife and I liked the appearance of, and the fit was very good, so I tried just one other frame and happily settled on the first one. The Dispensing Optician, Emma, agreed it was a really good choice of frame for my varifocals, to minimise distortions I will see. It normally takes me an hour to choose my frame, but Lisa's knowledge of the stock saved this effort.
