It was incredibly difficult to get an appointment. I am diabetic but I just wanted an eye test, not the retinopathy screening. The first time tried the appointments number, I was told they couldnt make an appointment, I had to speak with the department staff. The next time I tried, I couldn't get an appointment on my preferred days of the week (Thursday or Friday), no matter how far into the future the clerk looked. When I turned up for the appointment I did arrange, I was told it had been cancelled. I'd had to take a day off work to attend, so they managed to fit me in at a later time. While I was waiting, I saw and heard several other customers arriving for appointments only to be told that they were not booked in.
