Appointment disaster: Only contact lense appointment was made not eye test even though I called twice to ask them about that. I need to ho back again for the eye test. My time qas so wasted. Staffs attitudes were very casual as if they were talking to passages by in the country side apart from the lady done eye test. They all have to kearn how to speak customers. Purchasing things, the trainee staff was sloppy. He should have been more trained before working for customers.

All the staff I encountered on my initial visit and subsequent appointment were very helpful. I wanted to move my reward scheme account from another branch, which they helped with and I also needed some spare lenses urgently as I was about to run out just before my regular delivery was due. They managed to get them in the following day, which I was very grateful for.

The first optician I saw, Neil, was great. Carefully explored contact lens options with me especially since I have had difficulties with them before. Had me on a second trial. I had to reschedule my lens check up appointment and Neil was on holiday. When I rebooked I wasn't told the new appointment wasn't with him. That's not good. He was excellent and I would have waited. The new person I saw, a lady, no idea what her name is as she didn't introduce herself, was clumsy, pushy, in a hurry, and could care less about me. She was testing my eyes with a blackout lense that literally had a hole in it, until I pointed it out. So my entire eye test was using both eyes instead of one because of the broken lens. When she checked the fit she barely even looked. Neil spend at least 2-3 min doing same thing she did in 30 sec. I told her my vision wasn't right. She said she will change the prescription slightly and all she wanted was to push me into agreeing to buying the new contacts - instead of giving me a chance to test the new prescription. I have a very hard time with contact lenses and find them uncomfortable. Explained all of that to her; she wasn't interested to hear. It seemed she was making sure to sign me up to buy into their scheme, so she can get her bonus/commission. I got a month supply and will see how it goes. So as for recommending the place it is hard to say. I got such inconsistent service - had I had the lady from day one; I would have never returned. If I had continued with Neil then I would definitely go back. He cares about the patient; she couldn't care less.

I only got to do half of my appointment because the online booking system put a 45 minute break in-between my contact lens appt and eye appt. However, the contact lens specialist was wonderful and did a great job in providing honest recommendations and feedback.
