I chose to go to Boots for my eye test and pay the extra money because they are supposedly of very high standard and are very well known. However, when I went into Boots to book an eye test I was very rudely directed to the correct desk to book and was extremely disappointed with the service. I asked to book an eye test which was booked with no problem however no further information was given to me. It was only half way through my eye test that I was told that there are two different types of eye tests, one for contact lenses and one for glasses and I was booked to have the incorrect test as I was not explained the options or asked which one I needed. Not one member of staff seemed to care about this problem and were reluctant to help me. I was clearly distressed by the end of the test, however my payment was taken with no problem, I was not asked by the member of staff if I was ok and no one asked me if I was happy/satisfied with the test - which I most definitely was not. The Locum Optometrist was not friendly and seemed to get the test done as quickly as possible and I was not happy with the prescription she gave me.
