I was in to have a look at glasses on Thursday 1/12 after recently being tested elsewhere. I was delighted to find that my choice of frame and varifocal would not cost me a small fortune, in fact, I found boots prices much cheaper than other opticians. The staff were knowledgeable and happy to assist me. Only negative I experienced was a bit of tension with a disgruntled employee who was giving her fellow workmate an earful about one thing or another. This felt a bit awkward and unprofessional and quite intimidating for the younger lady of the two. I would suggest these things are conducted behind closed doors and not in plain site of customers.

Needed a contact lens check up as having difficulties with my current ones. Made the appointment but wasn't told I would need my glasses prescription. Arrived 2 mins late for my appointment to be left sitting for over 35 mins. Optician was not busy or dealing with other customers. In fact chatting to another optician. When I queried why I had not been taken yet was told sorry he's running over with his time ?? As I did not have my glasses prescription with me (which I wasn't told I would need ) he said I couldn't be helped as my own optician would be closed now (after 5pm). He decided to take my glasses to check them then said yeh we can try some lenses. So the ones I need are not in stock and need to be ordered. Great ! Not really the best of service to be honest. I asked for prices to be told yeh they are dearer. Other option I was given was I can wear lenses then get reading glasses. Eh what is the point in that. Really unhappy that I now need to wait until next week to start off all over again. Thinking of taking my business elsewhere.
