I booked my son in for his annual eye test after a great experience last year at boots braehead. Ross did the initial checks and asked my son some questions around his hobbies etc, I assume to gage exactly what eye wear solution would be best. Ross was pleasant, and made my son feel at ease throughout. Amar was the optometrist that carried out the eye test, and was keen to establish how often my son played his sports, how long he used computers for, and suggested contact lenses could be an option if my son felt this would be something he would like. Amar advised that he could be shown how to put lenses in, and how take lenses back out successfully and safely, which I found reassuring. This made us feel like we had been listened to regarding my sons sports, and that there was a genuine interest in providing the best solution. After the eye test, a lovely woman called cheryl helped us choose some glasses, as my son preferred this to contact lenses. She was patient and took the time to use her knowledge of frame sizes and lenses to make sure we were happy with our choice. We are booked back in to collect and to have the glasses fitted, which I'm told means that this will allow my son to have them customised for fit to avoid them slipping down or digging in etc - a great all round service. Great attention to detail, kept informed regarding all the tests, a serious problem was detected at the time of my test and was very greatful for the attention and advise I received, would strongly recommend Boots for eye test, pure professionals.

The two staff members who undertook our assessments were very professional and friendly and took their time to explain the various steps and outcomes. With my daughters appointment the pitch was appropriately tailored to her level to ensure she was fully informed about what was happening and the outcome of her assessment. We were very pleased with the service indeed.

Booking was very easy on the Boots app , I received an email confirmation of my appointment. When I arrived for my appointment the whole store was very very busy, however that didn't stop the staff smiling . Everyone was very friendly and polite . The lady that done my eye test was lovely and was very patient. The young man that helped me fit my lenses for my trial was also very nice. Great overall experience from start to finish . It was my first time at Boots opticians and I will definitely return . Thank you for great service
