13th June 2017

I firstly attended Boots Braehead for my initial eye examination. I purchased new frames. Upon collection the prescription was not correct, however the assistant told me to take the glasses home and try them for a week. After about two hours I took a terrible headache and had to revert back to my old glasses. I returned the glasses the following week and was advised to have another eye test, the variable position in the lenses was not in the correct place. I left my glasses for the correct positioning to be done. Upon collection my glasses were prescribed as correct and I paid a further £25.00 for insurance. I had to return to Braehead the following week as the leg of the frame was hurting my right ear, the assistant corrected the legs of the glasses, however in the afternoon the leg of the glasses fell down to the right hand side so I was unable to wear them. I went into the Greenock shop to see if I could have some assistance, they were very pleasant and advised that I come back to the shop to see an Optician. I returned to Greenock and after several discussions it was decided that I would receive a new frame and lenses. Upon collection the varifocal was still incorrect and I had to leave the glasses once again. My glasses are now ready for collection, hopefully they will be fine this time. I would just like to say I have been a customer of Boots Optician for the last 5 yrs and I will not be returning.
