Thank you seems inadequate, but it is most sincerely written here.
Tina, for the care, understanding and willingness to listen you've shown to my elderly Mum when she had awful problems with getting the right stoma bag to fit her peculiar shaped tummy. You made her (and me) feel secure in the knowledge that you were not going to just give us like others had because it was a difficult job. For that kindness and expertise, we will always be grateful.
I'm not sure you realise the impact for good you have had for my Mum and her quality of life.
I don't know what we would have done without you - you are a very special nurse!

Profile
Tina Maddams is a Colorectal and Stoma Clinical Nurse Specialist who has worked as a nurse in the British Army, NHS and private sector.
I have been qualified as a nurse for 32 years, with extensive experience in Surgical nursing and a keen interest in Colorectal and Stoma care. As a clinical nurse specialist I firmly believe in holistic, patient focused care and working in partnership with the patient and their families.
I have presented at professional conferences, Association of Stoma Care Nurses UK (ASCN) in both the UK and in Germany with the European Council of Enterostomal Therapists (ECET) and produced educational posters to share knowledge and learning.
I am now a Senior Nurse Manager at Hollister, managing, supporting and developing the nursing team.
