I am an autistic adult with significant sensory issues and I was very agitated ahead of the procedure. Mrs. Bama Selvaraj and her team did a brilliant job of listening to my concerns and explaining the procedure to me in detail. They were reassuring and professional throughout. The procedure is uncomfortable by nature but it was made much more bearable by the gentle and careful way in which it was conducted. I'm very happy with the care that I received and I can't praise Mrs. Selvaraj and her team highly enough.

Mrs Bama Selvaraj and her team were friendly professional and made me feel at ease when a situation was quite anxious. Mrs Bama Selvaraj listened and also explained the procedure very carefully and ensured I was as comfortable as she could possibly make me during this procedure.

I was very pleased to find it was an all female staff at the centre on the day I attended, as I felt listened to and understood about my concerns. It also helped make me feel less anxious about the procedure not only because I would be less embarassed and therefore less tense being amongst women, but also knowing the female staff would hopefully be more aware of the discomfort faced in such a procedure. I arrived 45 minutes early to my appointment, but was seen a little late. I was given forms to fill in ater my appointment time had passed and didn't have a chance to finish them before I was then taken in for my first scan. It would have been useful to present me with the forms and any sample pots needing to be filled on arrival, so I could prepare and be ready once I was called. It would have also been helpful if given these forms to perhaps have a reminder about taking pain relief before the procedure as I had brought pain relief with me but in my anxious state about the procedure had completely forgotten to take them until the procedure was over. With regards to reducing the potential anxiety for women attending these appointments it would be useful if possible to know the name/sex of the doctor who will be seeing you. As I really did dread having to go through this if it had been a male staff member. I appreciate this may not always be possible to know who will definitely be attending on the day, but if there is any potential for specifying a female doctor for very anxious patients, I would definitely appreciate it.

Hi, in my experience I did not get any explanation which so bad for the patient. one of the nurse was so nice I thing she was English. English is not my first language I preferred that they speak French or Dutch, but unfortunately it was the case my point is it was very bad experience for that non communicate with the patient. I never see that kink for treatment specially medical, I have see Dutch, and French they are so different how they communicate to the patient and to give all insurance to trust the medical team. I am very disappointed honestly.

sorry to hear your bad experience. I always explain things and make sure my patients understand, I am not sure where it went wrong.
