Review of Pantomime written by

Good - Generally kind staff, caring. Improvements. - Often very slow to respond 'in a minute doesn't usually mean that'. - Some thoughtfulness needed. re: moving table and leaving it far from reach of bed-ridden patients. When asked to move it the 'in a minute' or we can't.

The dinner was very nice today. Hot pot and crumble after (female 85 and male 84). The staff are excellent and all overworked. The food and staff are good. Excellent care. Nothing too much trouble for staff. Excellent food.

The prompt treatment and the courtesy of the staff. A lack of night staff over the banks holiday. Not being visited by senior doctors as expected, just junior doctors.

Review of ACU written by a patient
22nd April 2017

All the staff nurses of all types, cleaners, pharmaceutical , technicians and medical staff were all friendly and helpful. I cannot thank them enough. The wards were clean, everyone washed their hands and the food was tasty. After the inevitable wait in A & E for a bed, it was as pleasant as any hospital stay can be. I did feel that, while I was lying in A & E , I was preventing someone else from being treated. Perhaps the assessment ward could be extended. Where there was no bin for domestic waste, everything went in the toxic bin. Most of the beeping alarms were obviously necessary, but one persistent, repetitive one did not seem to have a purpose and no one seemed to acknowledge it. It was very disruptive at night.

Review of ENT written by a family member
20th April 2017

I am writing on behalf of my taid who was admitted here a couple of months ago. Minority of staff (Angela, April, Amy, Bethan) couldn't fault - lovely. Majority need to remember that their patients are someone's father/mother/husband/wife and treat them with more respect. The sisters should lead by example. They need to remember that compassion and care is part of their job description. Took no notice of special requirements (e.g. Help with eating) as a result of not doing this my taid lost a considerable amount of weight. No communication between the staff or their patients and discharge procedures were very poor!! Would hope that my taid never has to return here, he was cared for better at home!
