All the staff nurses of all types, cleaners, pharmaceutical , technicians and medical staff were all friendly and helpful. I cannot thank them enough. The wards were clean, everyone washed their hands and the food was tasty. After the inevitable wait in A & E for a bed, it was as pleasant as any hospital stay can be. I did feel that, while I was lying in A & E , I was preventing someone else from being treated. Perhaps the assessment ward could be extended. Where there was no bin for domestic waste, everything went in the toxic bin. Most of the beeping alarms were obviously necessary, but one persistent, repetitive one did not seem to have a purpose and no one seemed to acknowledge it. It was very disruptive at night.
