My father was admitted to Whipps Cross Hospital at the beginning of January and after a couple of days on ACU1 followed by two weeks on Conifer Ward, he was finally transferred to the Margaret Centre Hospice where he passed away peacefully on the 1st February. I just want to express my gratitude and appreciation of the expert care and attention given to my father throughout this period. The professionalism of all those involved in the day to day care of my father gave us the reassurance that everything possible was being done and that he was being treated with care and respect whilst maintaining his dignity. It did appear that every time we came to visit there was someone attending to his needs and making him as comfortable as possible. When the time came for him to enter the Margaret Centre, we, his family, were treated with absolute compassion and nothing seemed to be any trouble. We even took the dog in for a visit. I wish I could name all the staff involved in Dad's care but there are far too many. All those we came across were a credit to their profession.
