We had such a great experience delivering at the Lilac Birth Centre. Pat and Theodora in Triage were so lovely - they took the time to read our birth plan and work with us to get started on the birth experience we were hoping for. We got a very personal experience from the start and individual care. Triage, birthing centre and ward appeared to have adequate staff and space. It did not feel busy or rushed or impersonal in any way. We were able to have the water birth we were hoping for with great guidance from Loveline, our midwife, and were discharged after 12 hours. The ward was comfortable with only one other patient but the staff worked with us appreciating we were keen to get baby home.
