Review of Swan Ward Post Natal
9th May 2023

Having spent a total of 3 days on the ward we can safely confirm that every single member of the department from the midwives to the support workers and catering team were phenomenal. They were friendly, caring and compassionate, and whoever was interacting with us made us feel safe, secure and important throughout.

Review of Delivery Suite
9th May 2023

Having had a rollercoaster of a birth, where we saw pretty much all departments within the maternity services, we can safely say that every single person and facility was outstanding. From the midwives, to the support workers and catering staff each one was respectful, kind, caring, knowledgable and friendly. Facilities were all clean and tidy.

Suggested improvements
Nothing.

Review of Hatton Ward
9th May 2023

I was treated very well by most of the staff on Hatton Ward. I did have some issues with rude agency staff, but the non-agency staff who worked on the ward were superb. A special shout-out goes to the following staff: Charity Cismiose Lorraine Smith Kerry Lawrence Stacy Thomson Siobhan Deer Eva Lopez Chiu Tsang Susan Patterson Dr Noor Uddin Roxy Mcvitie Dr Chris Marguerie Liz O'Neill Harjot Kang (Jyoti) They all treated me especially well, with dignity and respect throughout my time knowing them. I am very grateful for the care they provided me.

Suggested improvements
The doctors from the orthopedic team could have treated me better, a lot of the time they did not keep me in the loop with my care, decisions were made (especially in regard to the MRI) that weren't run past me or explained to me appropriately without strong encouragement from the nurse staff on the Hatton ward. There needs to be a strong staffing improvement with regard to the Night Shifts. I.e. there is not enough, my neighbour waited nearly an hour to get paracetamol via IV whilst she was still suffering with sepsis. The nurse on duty (agency worker) insisted she was giving everyone their oral medication first, and then will return and provide the medication via IV. There were several night, at the start of the shift I had to wait an hour for pain medication due to lack of staff.

Review of Hysteroscopy - Warwick Hospital
9th May 2023

The nurses and doctor were very kind and really nice. Made me feel very comfortable at all times.

Suggested improvements
I was late for my appointment as I could not find parking so that could be really improved. Maybe an overflow parking nearby as this is always an issue and extremely stressful when you don't want to be late for you appointment.

Review of A & E

Sent down after calling 999/111. Anxiety/Panic attack brought on by not being given enough information about a "small" problem with the left hand side of my heart which showed up at a Pre-op ECG and was not explained enough to me at the time. Everyone treated me very well and explained everything. I felt safe and cared for at all times.

Suggested improvements
Nothing really.

Review of Hysteroscopy - Warwick Hospital
5th May 2023

All the staff in the Larkin suite are very kind, professional, caring and reassuring. I was treated very well by Dr Mahr and all the nurses. Unfortunately the machine to cut the polyp out malfunctioned and I had to return 3 weeks later to repeat/complete the polypectomy. This time it was the same wonderful nurses and Dr Joseph. she was equally as kind and I found the procedure almost pain free.

Suggested improvements
Nothing really. It was unfortunate about the machine failure the first time but at least I wasn’t concerned or anxious coming back because I knew how wonderful all the staff would be. The larkin suite is quite cramped but the staff seem to cope well.

I was looked after well. I was provided with a cup of tea and choice of sandwich. A nurse checked my blood pressure and took some blood samples. A little later she took an ECG.

Suggested improvements
Reduce the length of time waiting before being discharged home.
