They were lovely
Long delay due to blood lab problems
I went to A&N and singed in. After a while I was told to go to the Minor Injures. Went there and signed in there. I was told I would wait up to 30 mins to be seen. I waited 1 hours and nothing happened. By all this time I had been left in pain. When approached the reception to ask why it was taking that long, the guy there said he had no idea and advised to keep waiting. We carried on waiting and everything was being even harder. Asked again another guy who arrived at the reception after the one I signed in with and he checked on the system and found out that I was sent to be seen by the GP and not the Minor Injuries. He then advised it would take me up to 2 hours to wait. I had already been there 2 hours before this was said and this just added up frustration and confusion. Why should I be see by a GP i the hospital when I had been sent to A&E by my GP in the Medical Surgery I belong?!! I said this to the guy, that it was my GP who sent me to A&N and not to another GP?!! Got no answer about this and not even any interest shown from the receptionist to find out why this happened. Finally after 4 h I was seen and then followed all the test and procedures required.
Treatment was brilliant
Doctor approached me while in waiting room, she could see I was in pain. Arranged a cubicle so that I could lie down to be more comfortable. Suppository administered to relieve pain quickly, followed by one diazapan tablet to relax muscles and avoid further muscle spasms while waiting my turn to be seen.
After assessment and diagnoses, released with medication. My sincere thanks to the Lady, Mel (emergency services).
It was a great relief to know that it wasn’t a slipped disc.
The staff told me what was happening at each stage. They also made time to give me information to help me. They showed me kindness and compassion all the time. All though they were busy I didn’t think I was keep waiting to long.
Reception staff were very rude, and I was not the only one to notice. They need to go on a course in how to speak to people in a decent manor!!’
Nhs doing it's best. Was a bit of a wait and turned out i didnt really need to go at all. That was fown to a doctor over the phone.

Well organised
On time .
Easy to follow instructions

The dr did not reassure me about whether or not my child has had a tetanus jab. She made me feel silly for not knowing.
