A doctor on the ward was very rude announcing my daughters name in the middle of the ward at the nurses station because I asked one of them to provide my daughter’s epilepsy medication that was late. This doctor was sat at the nurses station laughing and joking and ignoring my presence. This is a huge breach of my daughters and my privacy and confidentiality.
My daughter was left unattended with two male nurses. The ward were aware that she is socially vulnerable but still left her alone. They ignored me and lied to me when I asked them to resolve the issue. This is not the first time I have noticed poor care from this ward as my child has come in several times.
I wanted to post this review while remembering my experience. 11/08/2023 I went for day surgery at Warwick Hospital following an accident which was completely my own fault.
Every staff member I came into contact with was kind and compassionate. Nobody made me feel like I was taking up their time.
They were efficient, had excellent knowledge and gave expert advice.
I was really frightened about having orthopaedic surgery to my ankle but I needn’t have been so worried. Thank you to EVERYONE at the day surgery unit for your reassurance and person centred care. I can’t thank you all enough
Fantastic staff and experience, I don’t do hospitals so was nervous and every member of staff looked after me and made me comfortable and safe.
I have just had a shave biopsy with Tracey and her lovely partner nurse ( forgotten her name- sorry) From the moment I was greeted in the waiting area I felt at ease and in very good hands. Both were extremely friendly, caring and professional. As I said to them; they truly are a dream team! I was taken in early and the procedure was very fast and pain free. Tracey explained very clearly what was going to be done and advised me about after care. I cannot fault the service I have received this morning from these lovely ladies. Please convey my thanks and note my comments.
My elderly dad who has dementia had to be taken to A&E on 5th August to stop bleeding to a wound on his nose. The staff, doctors and nurses were amazing, as were the ambulance crew that had to collect him. They were clearly very busy on a Saturday evening but they looked after my very well. Caring, kind and professional throughout so grateful for their work and help to my dad. Just all round amazing people doing a brilliant job. Thank you.
Long wait time but understandable due to lack off staff. Everyone was very kind and hard working.
My clinical care has been excellent!!
All the staff, nurses, radiologists and doctors were respectful, listened and advised.
Great
During a visit to A&E with my unwell child, my child was sick in the a&e waiting room bathroom. I flagged this with the staff on reception desk suggesting they sent a cleaner to professionally clean it or to cordon it off, I was told to do my best to clean it up with tissue. There was no medical waste bin, so a large amount of soiled, potentially infectious waste went into the recycling bin.
I did the best I could and it looked ok but there is no way a paper towel made it clean enough for a hospital - no wipes or cleaning materials supplied and the bathroom was not cordoned off.
I felt bad for the patients entering and using the room subsequently and felt unsafe that potentially infectious matter was still there when we left
I attended a&e with my son, he was very poorly and was sick in the patient bathroom. It was unexpected so we weren’t prepared with a bowl so it went everywhere.
I popped to the A&E reception and was told to “clean it up with tissue” - given that we didn’t know what infection he had, there were no sterile wipes or anything for me to use to make it safe and no medical waste bin in the toilet so I had to put soiled hand towels in the recycling bin.
The toilet wasn’t cordoned off after for cleaning and no one really cared.
Not only did I feel bad for the other patients who might use it I felt that such a lacklustre attitude to cleanliness and infection control put me and my sick son at great risk just being in the department.
also people were smoking at the entrance to a&e so we all had the pleasure of breathing their smoke whilst we were waiting - not great given that my son was poorly and is asthmatic.
