I was cared for by staff on Beaumont ward yesterday and I cannot thank them enough for their compassion, kindness, and support. I was going through a very difficult time, and their care towards me made the whole experience much easier to go through. The staff are incredible, and really do care about the patients.
Today I was seen at the Minor Injuries Unit at Warwick Hospital, I arrived at 7.30am in A&E and then sent to MIU for their opening time at 8.30am. I had a dislocated toe which was treated quickly and professionally, I received two consultations and two x rays within 2.5 hours, amazing turn around and really professional support and care. I want to make a special mention to the senior nurse at MIU, Becky McAttur (not sure of the spelling), she was wonderful. So caring, personable, knowledgeable and committed, she treated me as if I was the only person she was seeing that day, so much personal care and attention. I instantly warmed to her style and her team. A huge thank you for her help today, such a wonderful professional, representing the incredible NHS with warmth and dedication. Thank you, Becky. From Claire with the dislocated toe :)
I was in very good hands with the mid wife - Sharon who diagnosed me from when I got to Bluebell. She was very patient and caring with me, I felt very safe and reassured. She gave me plenty of dignity and can see what was the best route was for me to have this baby. I had a natural birth with no drugs. I was performed a episiotomy by her and felt very reassured it was going to help deliver my baby. She also monitored the heart rate of my baby well and could see I was pushing hard but baby was starting to give up. She mentioned to have an assisted vaginal delivery using the kiwi. Although it was so painful when inserted in, it was also the best thing that happened to help deliver my baby safely and quickly as his heart rate started to drop. Doctor Urie was there to assist the birth. Both him and Sharon did such a great job, and safely helped me deliver my 8.1IBS baby. I was also offered to keep the placenta if wished to (declined) which is I thought was very respectful.
Doctor Urie did a fantastic stitch up and 12 weeks later, I healed very well. 10 months on, I am feeling super healthy and actively fit.
Good experience with the service
My daughter, Anya Lewsey DOB 29/01/07 had a tonsillectomy on 10/07/23 at Warwick Hospital. She was exceptionally anxious about the operation and the staff could not have been better in caring for her. They were kind and empathetic, they looked after her cuddly Panda toy as well, which cheered her up. After the surgery the surgeons and medical staff regularly checked up on her and her Step Dad. I would like my thanks passed on to them - they are a fantastic team and we couldn't have asked for better care. Thank you enormously.
I am 94 years old and brought to Warwick hospital by my son after my doctor refused me treatment for a chest infection. I was having breathing problems and sleepless nights. The hospital was amazing, they could see my distress and did several things to alliviate my suffering, my GP did not seem to care and did not attend my home even though I was so poorly, I cannot praise the hospital staff enough. First class service from start to finish, thank god they care , they deserve my praise and I hope our government does the right thing by them all. They are trully worth their weight in gold.
We went to A&E at Warwick Hospital with our 21 month old son and from the moment we walked in we were seen quickly and treated fantastically. The service and care we received was exceptional and we left feeling reassured and that we had been well treated - we were even offered a hot drink!
The nurses and doctors were caring and patient and we cannot thank them enough.
the nurse who met me was professional, caring and answered all my questions. she explained why I was being prepared for the biopsy. The team who carried the biopsy was very professional and made what coud have been an unpleasant experiecne a very comfortable one. The consultanmt reacted if a felt any discomfort and waited until I was ready for him to proceed.
