I got the day off school.
The element of trust given to patients is a daring but outstanding quality which helps them build a more true recovery for themselves by being able to trust the team, trust themselves and then create a better future e.g trust following meal times not instant level 3 observations, wires in rooms, visitors in rooms, things like this make the ward very different to other places.
It would be really nice to have a craft group - for making fun things to wear/do/give to friends e.g cards, jewelry, puzzles, clothes, collages, sewing etc.
Also music therapy or movement/dance therapy groups can be empowering, provide compassion and be really valuable additions to the program.
I love the garden. It's amazing. It must require a lot of upkeep? Can patients be more involved on taking care of the garden to ensure it retains it's beauty?
Although being at Cotswold house came at a very tough time in my life. I wouldn't change it for anything as the care ans support I received has been incredible, the HCA's and nurses go above and beyond to ensure you are being looked after and cared for. This care has thus changed my life.
Staff were very busy and though they tried often did not have the time to spend with you. Patients were often loud and abusive, often screaming throughout the night and early hours of the morning, and often made racist, sexist and homophobic remarks. Staff did not seem able to control them.
The staff here are extremely caring.
I was in an awful mess when I arrived, they have helped me gain back dignity and self confidence.
The food is lovely and there are great activities. The staff all want to help. Dr tsatalou is an excellent doctor who has helped me immensely and done everything in my best interest.
A good number of staff at times
