The staff are very polite with me. They did not treat me as if I am sick but as if I am any other person. I didn't feel out of place. I generally felt that the staff would regularly check up on me and come to have a chat. The food is very generous and good. The cleaning staff have been great.

Suggested improvements
Have a second patient computer in the MTR. Having a clearer understanding if I go to the medication room or if medication is brought to my room.

The course was interesting and everyone was given an equal chance to be involved. This was the third of these courses which have all been well worth attending.

Suggested improvements
I cannot think of anything which could have improved the course.

Although I received information early on I was confused but when I came around and realised medication was the way out and had the information I needed.

Suggested improvements
More positive affirmation training

My son was treated with dignity and respect. He was offered suitable activities to engage in. He was involved in care planning and given a chance to participate in reviews and ask questions. His concerns about medication side effects were taken seriously and alternative medication offered with less side effects which he accepted. The team was great and he felt safe on the ward and grateful for the support he received.

The staff are friendly and nice and supportive. The games are brilliant and have kept us occupied and happy. The groups have been helpful and good and kept our mind on good things. This has helped us through the week. Specifically with OT, activity coordinator and peer support workers. The food has been pretty good. The canteen staff are fine. The washing is clean and thorough. The cleaners do a good job.

Suggested improvements
Not really. Fix the pool table. Some of the male nurses are a bit hard on us and a bit abrupt.

The Recovery College is a life-saver, especially in times of Covid. It is good to meet with other people who have/had mental health issues and to have discussions with them. It is a way of keeping in touch and you feel less alone.

Suggested improvements
In the on-line courses it would be helpful to instruct users at the beginning of EVERY course EVERY SESSION to mute microphones. This would greatly help those of us who are hard of hearing or who wear hearing aids
