All the staff at The Alexandra Hospital looked after me very well before and after my surgery. If you need hospital care it is an excellent place to be.

I spent 3 nights on Chester Suite - the staff are all lovely and friendly and work very hard. However they are short staffed , even as a patient I could tell - hopefully recruitment continues. Thanks again Chester staff you are all lovely.

I felt the care in the evening and later in the day was spasmodic. When I stayed in another night as authorised by Mr Hoad Reddick it was as if I was not there at all.No breakfast. When I asked I was told it was finished? The staff obviously waiting for my bed for day patients. The sister was impatient and off hand.

The staff were very friendly and efficient and the room was fine. The Alex provided an appointment time which did not reflect the actual procedure time in any way, which resulted in waiting around all day with no food. Wouldn't have been so bad if I was informed of this, but was strung along until the consultant came along and gave a realistic time (which happens every time for this procedure so shouldn't have been a surprise). Post operation the duty nurse forgot to order food, which I had to prompt for (no food all day!) Was told I would be gradually sat up till I could then stand and get out of bed if needed. No one did, so I just saw to myself.
