Everything about my overnight stay at this hospital exceeded my expectations, from the way I was treated on arrival, and the room I was given, to the food and the various members of staff who helped me. I must make the point, though, that if the patient helps themselves then the staff will help them and with some enthusiasm. I was truly surprised to learn how rude and unhelpful other patients could be. They must be made to realise that, as patients, they are part of an occupational process, and not the inmates of some hotel with the aim of being as self-important as possible. "Do unto others" etc.etc.

Amazing Staff, very caring, do their jobs really well nothing too much trouble,,If only all hospitals had fantastic nursing staff like the Alexandra, it not just a few its all of them, the catering staff are lovely, the physio therapists are brilliant, the receptionist are also wonderful, the pharmacy staff are so helpful, and the cleaners really cheered me up too, not to mention they have the best consultants.

The Alex was ultimately ok. Had some issues with the room for the first op, not very private with a car park directly outside the window. The staff are very helpful in the main, although sadly for some it seemed very much like a job rather than a vocation! Not the feeling you want as a patient. Clean, professional and well organised in general, the nursing care could have been better at times.

I received impeccable care throughout my stay. Everyone with whom I had contact treated me appropriately and endeavoured to make my stay as comfortable as possible. The standard of care by the medical staff, the catering staff, the nursing assistants, the physiotherapists, and even the cleaners was second to none.

Excellent hospital with caring and attentive staff. I underwent a laparoscopy here as a day patient and was very well cared for.
