All the staff during my surgical procedure at the Alexandra were fantastic. The porters, nurses and anaesthetist I met with before my operation really friendly and put me at ease. This was my first ever time in a hospital so I was rather nervous, but everyone was lovely and I felt that I was in very safe hands. I was checked on plenty of times before and after my operation and I was kept updated at each step before I went to theatre. The nurses were great after my operation, nothing was too much trouble and the food was lovely! My room was quiet, spotless and the bed was very comfortable.
Overall, I would have no hesitation in recommending the Alexandrea to anyone.
A great hospital that, no doubt, has been inundated since the pandemic began.
Thank you for being a support.
Excellent in every respect
I had a hip replacement done on 25th February 2021.I would like to recommend this hospital ,the care and attention I received from the moment I checked in until my discharge was of the highest standard.I would like to extend my greatest thanks to Mr Naim,my orthopaedic Consultant and all his fantastic team for giving me my life back.
I visited the hospital three times - twice for consultations and once for my day-case operation. At all times the staff were fantastic, attentive and courteous. I'd happily return to this hospital if the need arises.
Whilst my consultant was outstanding, my experience on Stafford ward was not good at all. I was mostly ignored by staff, given half pieces of information or nothing at all. I felt that the NHS stamped on my file might have reduced the priority I was given at every level. On admission, I asked when I might be going down. I was told they would come back and tell me once the list was up. That person never returned. Someone else popped in saying they were coming in a minute to admit me. that person never returned. I waited four hours before someone finally came to get me. Had I been nervous, the wait would have been excruciating, no-one checked me at all. Any member of staff I did see, with the exception of my consultant, simply sat completing forms. I had no conversation except with the porter who showed me to my room first thing. I even had to find my own way out of the rabbit warren of corridors at the end on my own, feeling a little wobbly as it was my first time on my feet since the op.
Excellent medical care throughout my stay
Great experience overall. I felt that Dr Bhalla had listened to all my problems and answered all my questions.
I can highly recommend Dr Bhalla, as you feel in safe, professional hands.
Attended as an outpatient on Friday 7th May 2021 under the care of Mr Dalal for a minor procedure .
The care and attention I received from all the staff from the greeting at reception , the team on Lancaster and the Theatre team was excellent. . All the staff were friendly , professional and took their time to explain everything clearly and what I could expect . I had no concerns re Covid as all the guidelines were being adhered too .
I would have no hesitation in recommending the Alexandra and the excellent service and care received . As I self pay patient it was very reasonable and money well spent .
Well treated.
