Consultants/Doctors shouldn't make initial assessments/decisions without first consulting nearest relative and staff who know the patient.

Caring staff, great doctors, facilities good. Lovely garden, a full schedule of group activities 7 days a week which really help. Food is very tasty.

The care and hospitality is so good here I don’t want to live anywhere like a hotel even though I have been made informal and can leave when I want.

When I was not well I felt the staff lacked understanding of my situation. They appeared to have no time for me; hostile. As I improved, the situation became easier and relationship with most staff improved also.
Suggested improvements
At times, there were staff shortages. In the presence of vulnerable patients there should always have been a staff member within close contact in case of need. This was not always the case.
