I am the mother of the patient who was unable to speak. The care she received was second to none. Also the care and kindness to other family members.
Although I had telephone counselling and so can't comment on location or staff, I have no reason to think that my answers would be any different.
Very supportive and helpful when my husband needed outside interversion.
My daughter had seperation nicely and her nan had died very suddenly who she was very close too. This service helped her massively.
My mum and dad sadly died a few days apart- an unexpected event for us all they both had covid which had great impact on us all we witnessed first hand the precautions of staff wearing PPE we could not have understood the great care, and of all staff we met I cannot say thank you enough for their compassion.
The people involved was a great help and listened to what was said.
Because of my varied bereavement situation, ie my husband, close sister in law, a very dear auntie, my elder brother and my younger brother becoming suddenly unwell, I was offered in excess of ten months counselling, with a gradual easing back until I was ready to allow myself to stop and my counsellor felt I was ready too. I was assured if I needed further sessions to give the hospice a call.
They looked after my mum like she was royality.
