I found the bereavement counselling extremely useful in helping me deal with my emotions following my husband's unexpected and very sudden death. My counsellor was extremely friendly, pleasant and helpful and the process helped me think and talk things through before making decisions which I probably wouldn't have done on my own.
I received counselling from Janice.
She has helped me to come to terms with my grief and giving me ways of coping.
The empathy and professionalism that the appointment was given! All information I gave was relevant to this introduction of my new chapter in my life, boosting confidence in me wonderfully. The meeting ended with me knowing all I wanted to know and looking forward to continued input from Helena's Hospice.
Thank you.
Everything experienced was of a high standard.
The guidance received was greatly appreciated and I felt helped my case.
Thank you.
It was helpful in many respects, particularly in pulling together the variety of services and care.
Very thorough.
No improvements.
Valerie was a great help to me as I had 2 bereavements in the same week; they were 2 people who I cared about. This bereavement re opened a previous bereavement which happened 30 years ago. This previous bereavement was very heartbreaking for me. Through careful discussions and various exercises of colouring tasks and visualisations I was able to work through my grief. These tasks I found so helpful that I was able to put them into practice at home in between my weekly sessions with Valerie.
Valerie is a very kind, caring person and gave me hope and joy about my grief.
I wouldn't change a thing.
Very well explained.
Very sympathetic and understanding.
