i am still inpatient on 5c. have also been on 5b . both wards very kind and caring. feel safe and know that they will respond immediately to any change in my condition with thorough inveestigations.always treated with diggnity and respect. drs need to plan scans and tests better and inform patients in avance so we can prepare psychologically.. i have had sevral mri scans sprung on me and have had sedation att the last minute. it then hasnt haad time to work and i couldnnt go through with it. the appointments were wasted. i was stressed and upset but also disappointed becaause clearly i want to know my progres too. thereefore had to be rearranged and drs were irritable. could all have been avoided and i wouldnt have been sedated for nothing. the garden/ square gets very dirty at weekends with rubbish, food wrappers, cans etc. not at all nice to sit amongst the filth. needd a cleaner out there and more bins. also spitting is a problem. the flooor is often covered in phlegm and its disgustting.also a health risk it is never hosed or dissinfected. needs signs up and fines. its totally repugnant aand often there iis no clean area to sit. ambulance crews need to be told to clean up their clinical waste. often dirty gloves dressings and wrappers left by the entrance to kgv. its just lazy and risky. however, i love barts. have not met a single unhelpful or unpleasant personhere on days or nghts inc security and cleaners. ive been in here for 2 months. havent got a bad word to say about anyone.
