This hospital is honestly amazing! The staff,nurses and doctors were so kind and helpful. I was on maple ward and it was so lovely. Michelle the social worker was honestly so kind and caring and really understanding! I miss the staff so much because they were just so amazing! The staff did everything they could to help you and would also play cards,do arts and crafts and just were amazing! I did dbt therapy there and it helped so much! This hospital is amazing even though it was a low secure hospital the staff were always so understanding and kind! Thank you for all the support!

Don’t believe the recent posts on here. The reality from an adolescent currently imprisoned in here is in complete contrast. There is a culture of constant malpractice, cover ups and mistreatment of patients. Very recently the majority of staff on an adolescent ward have been sacked for malpractice it seems. A patient was allowed to swallow a plastic knife and had surgery to remove it. The so called excellent education facility is far from that. A “full day” of education can amount to 2x 30 mins per day. The subsequent boredom is horrendous- insufficienct staff so kids just sit there staring at the walls. And that is supposed to be improving their mental health! The place is an absolute sham, does not deliver what it promises and is unprofessional and inefficiently run.
