I thought this hospital frankly pretty awful. I could not see the point in paying for this. This was not up to the level of good NHS care, let alone what you might expect from an NHS hospital. Very poor care and a complete lack of information for relatives. No security. Cleanliness not great, crumbs on bedside table from a previous patient when my father went in for multi bypass surgery. He was rather forgotten about by staff, even though he has a lung condition aswell. Compared to St Georges this is very poor.
I have had 8 operations at St Anthony's and always received excellent care, the staff are kind and attentive without being overly fussy and the food is good! I would definitely recommend it
Very professional staff excellent great after care
Was all good apart of one little think. I was first in the que and I end up as 6th for some reason.
I had two operation at this Hospital the reason for its because my consultant is brilliant and he only does private consultations there. The staff in the recovery room are rude and treat like you not paying them to do their job. The service at this Hospital is becoming worst every time.
It was lovely having a priavte room at this hospital, and some of the nurses were extremely knowledgeable and caring, others not so but apparently they were using agency nurses at the time I was there so maybe that's why. Several mistakes were made with regards my care and medication as I have several health conditions and these were not fully taken into account even though I was having major heart surgery. Things got so bad I had to make a formal complaint and received an apology from the hospital - at least they did that and admitted things could have been done better. I'm not sure I would use this hospital again if I had major surgery, it has made me think very carefully.
I loved St. Anthony's . The staff and nurses were very kind and caring. The only improvement was when I arrived at 6.30 am and shown to my room no one came to welcome and explain what the morning programme was. After some time I made contact with a nurse and after that everyone was wonderful. I appreciate it is a busy time with patients arriving. Maybe a welcome note saying it is a busy time and someone will be with you soon.
The operation went very well and aftermath from the anaesethic. A very positive experience
