I would like to join the many grateful patient reviews of Professor Bhaskar Kumar and share my own experience. My gallbladder removal surgery was performed on 19 March 2025 at Spire Norwich Hospital. Ten months later, I can confirm a stable and excellent outcome: from the moment I came out of anaesthesia and throughout this entire period, I have not experienced any pain and have had no complications whatsoever. This result is particularly important given that I have other serious gastrointestinal conditions, and in my personal circumstances, the successful outcome of this operation was of particular and vital importance. Professor Kumar’s team provided professional care throughout my treatment. I would like to express my sincere thanks to his secretary, Leanne Ginn, for her attention and support, as well as to the anaesthetist, Roger Garforth, for the impeccably administered anaesthesia and his sincere empathy. Throughout my life, I have met many talented people; however, it is rare to encounter a person in whom professional excellence, scientific contribution, and a deep sense of care for others are so harmoniously aligned as they are in Professor Bhaskar Kumar. A delay in treatment due to communication

From the minute I booked an initial consultation to leaving after my operation I found the Spire hospital and all its staff exceptional. I am sure we are all a bit anxious when contemplating an operation, but the staff did everything to put my mind at rest, they could not do enough for me. Many thanks

My procedure was running late do I was chucked out of my room as they wished to close the ward. I was moved to a multifunction room with staff coming in and out to use computers, there was no furniture for clothes or personal belongings. I felt unwanted and ignored.

A very satisfactory experience for hernia surgery. Prompt attention and an efficient discharge in under six hours with a useful pack of supplies and medication. A couple of days after discharge I had a question about removing the dressing. A phone call to the hospital ward was answered immediately, with helpful guidance from the clinician.

Excellent care and environment

Easy to get to, plenty of parking, clean, excellent facilities, friendly staff and excellent patient care. I would recommend to fiends and family.
