Southmead hospital staff have always been friendly on my visits and the areas quite clean, though nothing spectacular
The outpatients part of southmead hospital is one that has not been renovated yet and is quite dark. The reception staff were efficient, but looked very bored...
Nothing really to complain about - but I bet the staff cant wait until they get into a new building!
Absolutely no complaints about the way I was treated by the staff at all
I also have contributed to Mr James Hewes' page and seeing the same question about cleanliness I need to repeat that it looked fine but MRSA and other hospital bugs cannot be seen so it is for you to know how clean it is!
My only criticism was that the waiting area is quite large so it was difficult to hear my name being called out and I am young with no hearing problems! Otherwise, it was easy to find my way to the Department and parking was remarkably easy.
I had very little contact with nurses except for one nurse asking were we here for clinic that afternoon. What was really annoying was on approaching the reception desk two members of staff where discussing some matter which did not seem to relate to work and I had to stand and wait for them to finish their conversation before being asked what I required.
The Hospital is undergoing a major overhaul and building programme and is doing a great job in continuing to provide top notch care
Your first 2 questions are impossible to rate.
1. "Was I looked after caringly?"
I would vote them 100% for efficiency and helpfulness otherwise they were busy and getting on with everything they had to do in their busy day which is just how it should be.
2. "How clean is where you were treated?"
One cannot see MRSA and C. difficile - it all looked ok - to my mind it is for YOU to tell ME how clean you make it and keep it.
