I recently had two cataract surgeries as a day patient at BMI Shirley Oaks.
The hospital is a modern version of the old cottage hospital. It was extremely clean and well maintained. The day ward and operating theatre were pristine. The staff were all very pleasant, helpful and considerate.
From initial appointment to completion of the second surgery took just under 2 months.
Overall it was as pleasant an experience as eye surgery could be.
