I was seen promptly was kept aware of what was happening and got the treatment I needed the only problem I found was because I was very hot at times I had to go outside a&e to cool down I would have found some seating helpful.
All staff were professional & polite.
Numerous tests were completed to help diagnose the problem.
The new A&E department is now a fantastic addition to SGH .
I arrived at 6.30. When I asked why people arriving 2 hours later than me were being seen first I was told the system kicks in at 8.30am. So sitting there for 90 mins meant nothing. I wasn't even seen first at 8.30. I was seen around 10.30. Basically the last one to be seen. The nurse on reception even admitted the system is poor.
The experience was tiring but done with great care and attention, the staff was excellent and my care was first class
Staff were lovely from begin to end and the doctor I saw was very good
The lack of communication between the 111 staff and Reception was none .I d already had a triage assessment done by 111 and was told they send the paperwork through to Scunthorpe but still had to book into A&E Ten waited 2 hours to see a triage nurse then to sit another 4 hours . Then a doctor came out and then said its another 2 hour before anyone would be seen .Once I got to see a doctor first thing she said . You need to go for an x Ray having spent 23 hours I said I wasn't going for an x Ray . WHY ON EARTH THE TRIARGE NURSE NEVER SENT ME FOR ON ONCE ID SEEN HER WOULD HAVE BEEN THE PERFECT OPPORTUNITY to send me for one to help speed thing up .
The staff were all professional and kind. They were efficient and saw to me quickly.
I wasn’t given a diagnosis and advised to go back to my GP. I asked for analgesia twice in the space of 3 hours but didn’t receive any.
I had to visit this hospital twice to get the care I needed. During my first visit the receptionist was unkind, condescending and unprofessional.
I feel the attitude from this person was unacceptable
I had to come back early the next day to see a different receptionist that conducted herself much better. She was helpful and caring
I had to wait around 3 hrs to get the initial consultation. With there only being 5 other people waiting I feel this is unacceptable and I’m incredibly diss appointed in this. I feel you can do much better
The X-ray staff were very good and dealt with me promptly.
Everyone was kind and friendly. We were kept informed about what was going to happen.
