After having my operation cancelled at the last minute, the rebooking was very quickly sorted out, its a lovely hospital with lovely friendly staff, one should not worry, its very nicely arranged. You need to fill in a form on line for your Wellbeing, a simple process if you use a PC or phone. A letter will be received in the post with a date to have a phone call, or need to be seen at the hospital for assessment. Then a date given for your Operation, or needs to be seen to. I was very well looked after and can only praise the staff for the help and understanding of your own needs. There's lots we don't see to run a hospital so smoothly, and its sometimes the people you don't see, that also need the praise. It take a team of workers, not just individuals. How they do it I don't know, but its really well done. I've now had my operation and need to go back in under ten days to be checked over, and Items removed. In layman's words it was a Bellybutton Hernia after over working oneself. You will receive updates via text messages if you agree to them from the hospital. On the day of the operation I arrived shown a single room which was very nice, checked over, seen the Nurse, for the normal checks, the pharmacist, the Doctor, and the anaesthetist, Nurse then the operation, had to stay in over night, so better to take extra`s in case of needing to stay the night. The Nurses check on you, yes I was awake, and offered drinks and biscuits, all during the night, having had nothing to eat for 28 hours or more. Left the hospital very happy. Just wish it had been done sooner.

I had a knee replacement at the Rivers Hospital and stayed overnight there. Leading up to the operation I visited for blood tests and pre operative checks. I was always seen in a timely fashion and staff were always pleasant and informative. Leading up to my operation I had a nurse with me who was very reassuring and afterwards the same. I always felt that nothing was too much trouble and calling for pain relief in the middle of the night was dealt with quickly which meant I had a relatively good night’s sleep all things considered. The food was good and there was a few options to choose from. All in all the hospital has a nice feel to it, it’s clean and the staff are friendly and welcoming. I would highly recommend it.

I had my cataract done at the Rivers Hospital in the Meadows day unit. All the staff were welcoming and informative about what was going to happen. Everywhere was lovely and clean. And I felt very comfortable. After the procedure I was given a lovely cup of coffee and when I had finished I was allowed to go home with all my discharge notes and medication neatly stored in a bag ready for me to take home. I would highly recommend the rivers above PAH anytime

Rivers Hospital is amazing, offering a first class service. All staff are polite, friendly, courteous and helpful and every single part of the hospital is incredibly clean and modern. On arrival for my operation I felt I mattered. Within minutes a lovely nurse called Daisy came to get me and took me to my room, which was spacious and I had lovely view of a well tended garden. I was made to feel very welcome and she was very reassuring, explaining everything to me and asked if I had any questions. The anaesthetist then came to see me and he was also very reassuring and I knew I was in very good hands. The same can also be said for all the nursing team and the physiotherapists, who then taught me the exercises I needed to do. Even the catering staff were kind and caring. Then there's my surgeon, who has done a remarkable job!! I remember when I first met him at my initial appointment he was courteous, polite and kind. He explained what was wrong and how he could rectify the problem. He showed me my MRI scans and talked me through everything and then asked if I had any questions. At no point was my appointment rushed and then I was given a few weeks to digest what I had been told and to decide whether or not I still wanted the surgery, which I did, and I now have my mobility back and I cannot thank him enough. When I was being discharged, the nursing team ensured I had all the medication I needed, together with my paperwork and advice leaflets etc, all kept together in a little bag. Throughout my stay I felt safe and nothing was too much trouble, even when I needed assistance during the night I had a nurse arrive within seconds of me pressing the buzzer. Not once did I have to ask for pain relief as they made sure I was comfortable at all times. During my pre op assessment, physio appointments and my post op wound check appointment I got the same courteous, kind, polite and helpful treatment. I can and will thoroughly recommend this hospital.

Rivers Hospital, I found it very clean and the staff understanding and helpful the food was very acceptable. I was given an ex ray on my first visit to Rivers hospital and an examination both of which confirmed the problem with my hip, the doctor concerned referred me to a Hip surgeon who gave me information about the need for surgery.

Honestly cannot thank the staff enough for their fantastic work today. Our three year old underwent minor surgery and I was just blown away by how amazing the team were - from the bloody marvellous paediatric staff to those in the recovery room. The whole experience, which could have been so much more scary and daunting for our child and me, was a breeze. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, you are just wonderful. Hand on heart totally recommend this hospital for it's fantastic service and brilliant staff.

All staff that I saw at Rivers hospital were pleasant and kind. They explained what they were doing at all times. I had my own room which was clean and newly decorated. It had an en suite bathroom. The food was great and the staff remembered my preferences. Even though I was an NHS patient at a private hospital I don’t think I was treated differently to paying customers. Everyone was friendly. The physiotherapy staff were great too, knowledgeable, took time to explain and demonstrate exercises and encouraged me to push myself.
