Review of F5,6,7 written by a patient
4th December 2018

From coming into F7 a week ago till today the care has been excellent. The room on f5 was cleaned everyday and staff doing this was very friendly and asked before starting. I would recommend the hospital and the wards I have been in. Thank you to all staff.

Review of D3 written by a patient
3rd December 2018

Treated very well from signing in until leaving. The staff (under considerable) stress made sure i was ok and always explained what was happening. Nicky (or Nikki) in the team when you come out of the operating theatre was so calm and kind that it made me feel at ease. She is a credit to QA. The young portuguese nurse on D3 (i know the name but can't remember how it was spelt) only been here 2 months and was so cool, funny and gave the best care/treatment. Again a credit to QA and Portugal. I have never in my time had anything other than great service from the NHS. Thank you all concerned.

Review of B7 written by a patient
1st December 2018

After having post natal complications I could not ask for more help, compation, care and support from B8 and B7 midwifery team for me and my baby. I would highly recommend QA maternity unit to any expectant mommy. I would like to pass huge thanks to all doctors, Midwife’s and support workers during my birth journey at QA hospital.

I cant fault the care that I have received, from calling into the walk in clinic at Gosport to plaster cast fitting and removal, very good service. Thank you very much.

Review of Pre-op assessment Outpatient Area written by a patient
30th November 2018

I visited level C outpatients for a pre-op assessment where I was told by letter that any questions I have about my up coming operations for bladder cancer and prostate cancer would be answered. This proved not to be the case as the nurse I saw, Debbie Boyland was not able to answer any of my questions, gave me verbally a date for my bladder cancer operation but had no information regarding my operation for prostate cancer as it was "not on the system". I find this very worrying. The staff in this department must be briefed on all aspects of a patients forthcoming treatment and be able to answer all questions. All in all a very disappointing experience particularly when compared to the first class treatment I received in the Urology department whilst undergoing the examinations and biopsy to determine my cancer condition.

what was good about my care? what did I expect ? polite staff bottom to top, thorough paperwork , reassurance, patience in dealings, highly skilled medical professionals, clear instructions, good after care. what did I receive ? all of the above and more ,tolerance , calmness of the staff , and gentle smiles while I felt nervous in an unfamiliar situation.I could write more but am moved to tears in gratitude. 23-11-18 bilateral inguinal hernia

I was seen by someone on ENT they was 1 and a half hours late for my appointment (had that of been me I would have been told to rebook) so I go in the room the dr? Was I'm red scrubs never told me her name (had an accent). Takes the plaster off that I had on took old gores out. Walks out the room for about 3 minutes walks back in says she's going to put more ribbon in leaves again to get some from another treatment room. Sorts it out so shes ready then starts putting them in and digging them in. I had no local anethestic given and was in considerable pain. Half way through she says it's painful as it wasn't anesthetized! Then says I could put some in but yet continues to put gores in. After we finished she has put the plaster on a sore spot. My hair is stuck underneath so that's uncomfortable. I walked off the ward and cried it hurt so much. This lady walked like she couldn't be bothered I understand their under stress but kindness and politeness surely isnt that hard?
