Lou was very empathetic and encouraged me to realise that my feelings were all just part of the grieving process. She also showed me different ways of looking at things so that I was struggling with. Above all, though, she listened.
The Hospice at home team have been excellent. the care and kindness has been extraordinary. They have been reassuring and supportive and so gentle with John and our family. Special mention must go to Mandy who has been wonderful. Her and her team Tracy & Anica have simply been life savers and we shall be forever grateful. Fundraising from us will commence at the funeral and moving forwards I will always support and donate to Pilgrims.
My counsellor was amazing, she totally got me. My sessions started 2 weeks before my husband passed away, having just lost my mum & dad the year before my counsellor helped me process that I was just about to suffer heavy grief again. I had lost my 3 main family members and the sessions got me through the worse period in my life with confidence.
Helped with my situation and felt completely at ease to discuss my feelings.
The call was my first contacting Pilgrims re Palliative support, at the start of the call I felt low, depressed, worried & confused. The call changed any thoughts to being more positive on what is important.
