I recently had to undergo full ankle replacement surgery.
The medical, nursing and support staff working with my surgeon Mr Kakwani all treated me with care, consideration and dignity.
I have a severe needle phobia and almost without exception everyone who cared for me was understanding and made efforts to put me at ease during the necessary procedures including blood sampling and anaesthetics.
I have only admiration for the skill and knowledge of the staff who looked after me together with their very professional and caring attitude towards their patients.
Having given my opinion of Mr.Cloke and his Secretary I can now, with full confidence add another such positive review of Surgeon, Mr. Kramer. Over the years I have known him and received two hips, I can speak of how much confidence I have in this Gentleman.
After visiting Rake Lane recently, I was so pleased and amazed to hear he was still performing his duties. " Good on Him ".
Thank you for now.

There was a computer system failure when I was there but they seemed to cope well with a manual system.
I recently went into the surgical day unit for a replacement knee op which I was really anxious about . Didn’t need to be , from the minute I walked in to coming out I was treat wonderfully and made at ease . The level of care and compassion was second to none . Mr Assad and his team who did the op were marvellous and the level of care afterwards was amazing . Special thanks to the nurses for all their care and dedication especially to Bernadette Tracy and Sally , all were angels . Couldn’t have got through the night without Tracy and her cuppas
The actual hospital is very good, majority of staff are brilliant. My issue is that my husband went into the walking clinic after being given an appointment as this is the procedure now. He was seen by a rather aggressive nurse who basically said she did know what is was & said he had to go to out of hours doctor. What was the point of going to the hospital if he could not be seen by a doctor there.?
The ‘crazy’ thing here is she handed him a piece of paper called Vocare house directions, somewhere in Balliol. She said go into Google Maps on your smart phone, put your Sat Nav on even though they might send you the wrong way (I quote) Make sure you put your registration in or your get fined. Now, my husband has neither a smart phone or Sat Nav . So how do you get there… shocking way to treat someone who was in a lot of pain. He gave up & came home. Absolutely appalling
My Mum went into the day surgery unit and she said she was well looked after, involved in all decisions about her care and the staff were lovely.
Mr Venkatachalam was very informative and cannot fault the care provided by the whole theatre team and nurses at the hospital.
The hospital was very clean.
