Review of Complementary Therapy Outpatients written by a patient
28th August 2020

Before I was not happy about group work, but that changed when I attended Longfield. The treatments were fantastic with Sharon being able to have treatments put me in control to do something good for my body. As you must realize having terminal cancer means one has little control over the rest of ones life. Mentally the treatments helped me. But help, I need more, massage.

Treated with great dignity, respect, kindness and gentleness. Felt relaxed and comfortable being cared for. Carers had a caring positive attitude and were very easy to talk to and were able to make us laugh and made them laugh too, very calming in a very sad situation receiving daily phone calls were very, very reassuring and to have advice daily was so reassuring too. Everybody involved at Longfields were amazing.

All of the Longfield carers are so lovely and friendly they are very helpful and professional, as well as the care they give they offer advice and support to the family without Longfield I would not be able to be looked after at home. They provide a wonderful service.

I came to Longfield to join a bereavement group. I really struggled with the group and called the administrator to tell her I could not and keep going. I was shocked when she offered me free 1-on-1 counseling. She offered to be my counselor. She was kind, compassionate and listened to me talk about the hardest part of my life. The treatment I received was amazing and I would recommend it to anyone suffering from a bereavement.

My husband the patient was very well looked after by the carers. They would take time to talk to him and were very patient with him when he wanted to brush his teeth. They listened carefully to him and gave him time to talk (which was difficult sometimes). Many thanks for your kindness.
