I can't thank all the staff enough for all they do. Truly angels. They all played a part in keeping my baby alive and helping him recover. I will be forever grateful
The midwives on this ward are fantastic! They are caring, friendly and treat you with respect.
When I needed help with breast feeding they were more than happy to help on sevral occasions.
I was also in a lot of pain when I first came onto the ward and the staff helped me to recover and to get mobile again.
My baby was on a drip and had to got for numerous blood tests, theses tests were done with care and I felt I could trust the staff to do their best for my baby.
I would like to say a massive thank you to all the staff on ward 36.
Every member of staff on the ward were polite, friendly and professional.
As first time parents the staff were amazing and helped us a great deal.
We are very very grateful.
STAFF KNOW NOTHING.
NOT ATTENDED TO AND IGNORED.
FILTHY CONDITIONS.
TREATED WITH DISRESPECT.
Very helpful staff from start to finish but did take 5 hours before sent to Jim's j29 then waited 5 and half hours in j 29 for a bed on the word then put in j27
I came with my 23 year old son to the minor injuries unit after he was seen by his GP that morning. He sent a letter asking for an urgent scan on his leg. On arrival we were seen by nurse Catherine who immediately said his GP should have organised the scan and not sent us to the MIU. She consulted a doctor who said the same thing. We were made to feel like criminals. It was not our fault. They took their frustration out on us. She subsequently said as we were there she would see what she could do. A radiographer then examined my son and he was the complete opposite. He showed compassion and care. Thereafter the care we received was superb but was sadly tainted by our first experience
The outstanding aspect of the care received was that it was given with so much consideration, understanding and compassion. The staff went beyond physical/clinical care - one male nurse sat with me for a long time during the night as I wept because the prognosis scared me. At all other times I was overwhelmed with the friendliness and care. I had excellent treatment and care here.
This extends beyond the clinical staff, with porters, cleaners, catering staff all being basically perfect in their attitude and approach (and even the decorators, as the ward was being painted whilt I was there).
It would be nice to know the best way to reward and thank those working on the ward - whether chocolates, coffee vouchers, etc. would be appropriate.
All the staff were very caring and understanding ,they made me feel relaxed ,the only thing I must remark on was that I was to be in ward L28 at 11 AM ,I arrived at 10.50 shown to my bed ,answered a few questions about my health and had my blood pressure taken given a sandwich at lunch time then had to wait until 6 30 for my operation which took approx 20 mins.It was a long time to wait
They service is great as the nurses get around to helping you really fast and it is a nice service
