Review of Japonica Ward
27th June 2024

EVERYBODY from Doctors, Sisters, nurses, HCA's, catering & cleaning staff, could not have been more helpful, I was treated with professionalism, friendliness & dignity throughout my short stay in this ward. I only had two meals apart from toast, & they were both quite tasty.. Thankyou.

Suggested improvements
I think that Covid tests should still be done before being taken to the ward. I haven't had Covid at all, but 3 days after I was discharged I came down with it, as did my daughter who was with me. It's not 100% certain that I picked Covid up whilst in hospital but it's a big possibility. I always wear a mask when going out as I did before going into hospital. Just one other thing was the lady buttering my toast at my bedside wasn't wearing gloves.

W arrived early and waiting time was good, seen to my the nurse. Waited a short time to see the consultant, was very informative and explained in detail my situation. Nurse was very good. Explained what I needed to know and what to expect next. Overall I was very pleased.

Some nurse's ignored my repeated requests, as they're very busy, Doctors told me specialists would visit me but nothing.

Suggested improvements
Give nurses more help, ie too many patients to look after for one nurse.

The nurses are really nice and helpful in clover, the head nurse was also straight to the point and helpful. Only thing I can say is the nurses look tired they need a break. Things look like they are improving within the service it used to be soo hostile but people are slowly becoming human again. Only thing I can say is some doctors sometimes lack social skills and don’t really explain or introduce themselves or sometimes they talk too loudly and the whole ward can hear what I’m in for, some are amazing but most are, to be honest really weird.

Review of King George’s - Accident & Emergency
27th June 2024

Extremely long wait - 8 hours in total . Although I was in a wheelchair (awaiting X-ray of pelvis) a couple of times my name was just called out and I had to get reception to arrange for someone to push me . Dr didn’t understand why I asked for crutches when I couldn’t weight bear on my leg . Long wait for X-rays to be reviewed, then had to be checked again by her superior.

Suggested improvements
Once people have had tests/X-rays get the results reviewed quicker .

Review of King George’s - Accident & Emergency - Childrens
26th June 2024

I attended with my 15 yr old daughter early hours Sunday 23rd June. She had been suffering with abdominal pain and nausea. It was a long wait but we found all the staff we met in childrens a&e reception, nurses support staff and doctors were kind, approachable and professional. Special mention for Simone who was able to take bloods and cannulate her without even leaving a bruise . Thank you
