The pleasantness with put me personally in a relaxed frame of mind.
Was told on the phone (III call back) that I had an appointment for my son, on arrival was told of a 2 1/2 hr wait. Surely this should be warned of before and the word "appointment" should not be used! If it was for me and not for my sick child, I wouldn't have bothered waiting. It is 10.30 pm now, by the time he gets seen and gets his prescription there will be nowhere left open to get it until tomorrow.
Timing needs improving.
Also staff could be more helpful and friendly.
As all A and E, the nurses looked quite under pressure but they were very good and attended to my husband promptly. I am satisfied with the care my husband received. The nurse who looked after him was fabulous. very good communication skills and very professional.
On the whole, most of the staff have been very helpful, friendly and caring. My care over the time I have been here has been very good. However, there were a times when I had to remind them several times that something needed doing. Also, I wasn't always told when I had to go for scans.
Everyone was very caring. Food needs improvement.

I was treated both in emergency dept and Heather ward. The treatment I received, I could find no fault. Everyone was in fact brilliant. I could not have been treated better in the private sector.
